A Lovely Valentines Weekend!

We had a great Valentines Weekend.  We were able to celebrate V-day on Friday.  Trish came over to watch Brody and Mike and I went to a movie, which we have not done in a very long time.  It was great.  Mike let me pick the movie we were going to watch, and he sat through Twilight with me even if he probably didn’t really want to.  What a great guy!!!

Saturday was a very busy day.  Mike had school then I had a baby shower to go to and then the fun began again.  We were able to go to the Draper Temple open house with Mike’s family.  It was beautiful!!

med_10_EXTERIOR_03_30Dec08It was a very busy at the temple.  It was a huge crowd and we herded through very fast.  But we could still feel the spirit and enjoy being with each other.  It was great to be able to be in one of the sealing room with Mike’s family and listen to the volunteer talk about how important families are.

Brody was so cute.  He was great they entire time.  There were times he would just stare off and smile.  He loved looking at all of the pictures, especially the ones of Christ!

It was just a great weekend…

Feeding the Ducks

Well with that not so great bread that I made, we ended up going and feeding the ducks. The ducks just absolutely loved my bread at least there is someone or should I say some animal out there that appreciated my homemade bread. It was pretty funny. Due to the cold weather there probably have not been a lot of people coming to feed the ducks so when they saw us they went crazy. Brody just watched everything and was a little frightened because they were so loud.

Just so you know I sound like a little girl in this video.

The month of January!!!

This month has been getting into the grove of us starting school again after Christmas break. Mike started at a different school which he is really excited to be at. He transferred down to Utah Valley University (UVU) formally known as Utah Valley State College (UVSC). This is really going to help him out. They offer a lot more night classes and Saturday classes, which help him because of him working full time. He works so hard to make everything in his life fit. He really tries to balance work, school, homework, and us. Making sure we feel taken care of and loved. Mike loves to come home and see Brody, because Brody’s face just lights up and he gets so excited to see daddy. How couldn’t that just make your day!

This semester I was able to get all online classes which really help me out because I do not have to find a babysitter for Brody. But sometimes it seems like all I do is sit in front of the computer. Which is fun at times but it can get very old very fast. I do have a pioneer trails class in April that I am looking forward to. It’s a weekend trip that I get to take for my degree, guess I can’t complain about that. I have also been busy trying to get my new calling up and running. I was called to be the compassionate service leader. There was nothing really in place when I was called so I am starting from scratch. Which is just fine for me, I get to start it and run it the way I want to. I really am a control freak!!!

Brody is growing and living life as happy as can be. He is such a joy to have! It is so easy to make him smile and laugh. Which in turn make Mike and I just smile and laugh. He is growing so fast and getting so big. He loves to stand, while holding onto me or Mike and to other things. He does not cruise yet, but that is fine with me because he is not even crawling yet. He likes to just role to where ever it is he wants to get to. He is fast at it too. He loves people and will go to really anyone that offers to take him. I don’t know where he gets that one from?
